PTA is typically indicated for TASC A and B lesions in the setting of:
rest pain, ulceration, lifestyle limiting
Aorto-iliac TASC A and B
General Steps
-access
-angiogram
-get across lesion
-angioplasty w/ or w/o stent
Stent -> Elastic recoil, dissection, stenosis
Stent to artery ratio of 1.4
Be careful stenting across joints as it can fracture
-completion angio
-access site closure
Femoro-popliteal TASC A and B
